2022 TACDC Annual Community Development Conference

  • Texas A&M Hotel & Conference Center 177 Joe Routt Boulevard College Station, TX, 77844 United States (map)

CONFERENCE DETAILS:

Affordable housing continues to be a concern throughout the state of Texas as demand continually exceeds the supply of available housing. Older housing stock, reduced buying power, and an overall lack of affordable units put more and more Texans at risk of paying more than they can afford for housing. Community development, however, is much more than just affordable housing. It is also working to give residents the ability to determine how their communities develop, to give everyone a say in how the neighborhood looks, and to assure it reflects the values of residents-both long-term and those new to the community. Community development provides the tools to move forward to a bright and prosperous future for all citizens throughout Texas.

TXCPI will be presenting on creative placemaking / placekeeping content on the first full day of the conference, Monday, March 28th, 2022.
